Pusoy Dos is a turn-based shedding game that originated in the Philippines. It is played by 2, 3 or a maximum of 4 players. Each player is dealt with 13 cards. The game’s objective is for a player to be the first to discard his/her cards by playing them.

Card order
The combination of cards you need to win in the Pusoy Dos card game are as follows:
Singles
It consists of single cards from the deck. The highest single in Pusoy Dos is the 2 of diamonds, and the lowest single is the 3 of clubs.
Doubles
They are also known as two-of-a-kind. Doubles include a pair of equally ranked cards. The lowest double is a pair of 3’s. The pair that has 3 of diamonds is always higher.

They are also known as three-of-a-kind. They consist of 3 equally ranked cards. The highest-ranking combination is one with triple twos’ (2, 2, 2) and the lowest consists of triple threes’ (3, 3, 3.)

Five cards
The combination consists of five random cards. They are described in detail below.
Straight
A straight is a combination of 5 consecutive singles that is; 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. The highest consists of 10, J, Q, K, A, and the lowest consists of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. In case two players have the same straight with the same highest card, e.g. one ending with 6. The higher one is the straight with the 6 of diamonds.

Flush
A flush is a combination of any five cards of the same suit. The highest is called a diamond flush, and the lowest is called a club flush. When one has two combinations of the same suit, e.g. both have hearts, the one with the highest singles is the higher flush.

Full house
It is a five-card hand that is made up of a triple and a pair. E.g. 3, 3, 3, Q, Q. The ranking is done depending on the triples one has. The highest full house is a triple of 2, 2, 2, and the lowest a triple of 3, 3, 3.
Quads
It is also known as four-of-a-kind. It consists of 4 cards and a single, e.g. K, K, K, K, 3. The rank is determined by the four cards. The highest is a flush of 2, 2, 2, 2, and any single card. The lowest is a flush of 3, 3, 3, 3, and any single card.

Dealing and playing
When playing, the Pusoy Dos strategy requires that the dealer starts by shuffling the deck. He/she then deals the players one card at a time. It is done clockwise until each player has 13 cards.
Rounds
The player with the lowest card goes first (3 of clubs.) It can be played as a single, within a pair, as a triple or a five-card combination. The cards are placed at the center of the table facing upwards.
Rotation
The player to your immediate left is the one who plays after you. It means that the game is played in a clockwise manner.

Dropping a card

If you want to drop a card, you do so during your turn. However, the card combination you have must be higher than that played by the person before you.
Passing
If you don’t have a higher card or you need to save your card you can pass. The turn automatically transfers to the next player.
Winning and Scoring
The first person to get rid of all their cards is the winner, and the game ends at this point. In some versions, however, the game continues until only one person has cards.
When a person wins, and the game ends, the winner is awarded 1 point and the losers 0. When the game is played until only one person has cards, the winner is awarded 5 points. The 2nd place is awarded 3 points and the 3rd place, 1 point.
